The cullet used in the recycling process is frequently contaminated with organic, inorganic and metallic materials that can significantly affect the glass quality. For this reason, the cullet has to be cleaned before entering the automatic optical sorting process. EME’s sorting solutions use magnets and eddy current separators to remove magnetic and non-magnetic metals. We also use sieves to separate cullet in different fractions to optimise the efficiency of the machinery and the process reliability.
